Co-Founder

Co-Founder Dean Atkinson brings over 40 years of experience in manufacturing and mechanical and industrial design to the Oasis team. In 1985, Dean purchased Com-Pac Filtration and grew the company from 5 employees to 50. Five years ago, Dean founded Unique Aquatic Design in response to the need for customer service, turning this into a recurring and growing business. Now, he brings his valuable experience in the aquatic industry to Oasis Amenities.

Dean has a unique understanding of the aquatic construction industry and the sustainability of its projects. This knowledge led him to develop long relationships with clients such as Disney, Universal Studios, Marriott Resorts, and many others. As the Engineer of Record for three significant development projects, Mirada Lagoon, Southshore Bay, and Brightwater Lagoon, Dean and his group, Unique Aquatic Designs, Inc., gained a clear understanding of the engineering challenges associated with construction projects of this magnitude. The practice of having the engineering arm associated with manufacturing allowed Dean to tailor each project to its required needs. This association ensures our projects are more sustainable with a faster return on investment and overall success rate.
